Course Highlights
This participation course is designed for the dentists who wish to explore
the use of dental implant technology in their practice to bring enhanced
satisfaction and ability in presenting and interfacing implant therapy into
an advance prosthetic reconstructive practice. The benefits of advanced
treatment planning to include comprehensive diagnostic records and case
presentation will be explored. Dr. Smith will give an honest and practical
presentation of how dental implants integrate into a general practice.
There will be a review of implantology fundamentals and then using this
information to add to total patient care. Emphasis on treatment planning
and occlusal restorative principles along with case presentations of surgery
and restorative cases that Dr. Smith has completed will be included in the
first day of the seminar. Surgical techniques, oral conscious sedation, laser
technology, case and patient management will be emphasized. Bone
management to include pros and cons of particulate grafting, block
grafting, sinus lift surgery, sinus bump surgery and their indication for the
individual patient conditions will be described.
The second day will include esthetic zone issues and treatment. Live
patient implant surgery will be presented. The use of CT scans, Nobel
Bioguide and other radiographic techniques are shown. Techniques of
“Teeth in an Hour” and the “All on 4” will be discussed. Financial
arrangements and treatment plans and how to present them; how to keep
the case profitable. What to expect and how to manage failure points will
be honestly discussed.
Course Objective
At the conclusion of this course each doctor will be able to make a decision
